E’ difficile sapere in anticipo quali sensazioni ci susciteranno posti, persone e atmosfere nuove e sconosciute; sapere cosa colpirà la nostra attenzione, cosa ci emozionerà, cosa ci farà riflettere.
E’ difficile sapere in anticipo cosa troveremo durante un viaggio, quali esperienze vivremo e in che modo il viaggio ci cambierà e ci farà crescere.
Ma c’è una cosa che so per certo, ed è che ogni tanto avrò voglia di spengere la luce, mettere su un disco, chiudere gli occhi e far finta che ci sia un camino acceso, un bicchiere di vino, voi seduti tutti intorno ed io che vi racconto una storia…
It’s hard to know in advance which feelings we will get from places, people and atmospheres that are new and un-know to us; to know what will call our attention, what will excite us, what will make us reflect.
It’s hard to know in advance what we’ll find during a journey, which kind of experiences we will make and in which way this journey will change us and make us grow.
But there’s one thing I’m sure of, and it’s that once in a while I will want to turn off the light, put a record on, close my eyes and then pretend there’s a fire-place on, a glass of wine, you all sat around and myself telling you a story….
